# Keyboard shortcuts

> The keys that make Temperate faster.

On a Mac, use **Cmd**. On Windows and Linux, use **Ctrl**.

## Everywhere

| Keys | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Cmd+K** | Opens the command panel: search chats, spaces, settings and actions. |
| **Cmd+B** | Closes or opens the sidebar. |
| **Shift+\[** | Closes or opens the sidebar, outside a text field. |

## In a chat

| Keys | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Enter** | Sends your question. |
| **Shift+Enter** | Starts a new line. |
| **@** | Mentions people, agents, documents and plugins. |
| **Cmd+Alt+E** | Changes the effort. |
| **Shift+]** | Opens or closes the panel at the right. |
| **1** to **5** | Answers a question of Temperate with that choice. |
