# Plugins

> Connect the systems you work in, so Temperate can look things up and act in them.

A plugin connects Temperate to a system you work in, such as your bookkeeping or your mail. Once it's connected, just ask about your own data in a chat.

Open **Plugins** in the rail.

You don't have to name the plugin: "Which invoices are still open?" is enough. Temperate [asks you first](https://docs.temperate.works/approvals/questions-and-approvals.md) before a change that can't be undone.
