# Private and shared chats

> Who can see a chat, and what Temperate learns from it.

## Share a chat

Select **Share** at the top of the chat, and turn on **Share with the space**. Colleagues find it under **Shared** in the sidebar and can write in it. Only you can rename or delete it. Use **Copy link** to send the address.

## Make a chat private

In a new chat, select **Private chat** at the top right before you send your first message. A chat that has started can't become private, and a private chat can't be shared.

Use a private chat for anything the space shouldn't learn. Agents can't read it either.
