# Find and organize chats

> Search, rename, pin, move and delete chats.

## Find a chat

The sidebar shows your **Recents**, **Pinned** chats and chats **Shared** with the space. For the full list, select the arrow beside **Recents**, then **All chats**. Use **Search your chats** to search titles and messages, or press **Cmd+K** (**Ctrl+K** on Windows).

## Rename, pin, move or delete

Open the **…** menu of a chat in the sidebar or at the top of the chat.

| Item | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Rename** | Changes the title. |
| **Pin** | Keeps the chat under **Pinned**. Drag to reorder. |
| **Move to project** | Puts the chat in a project, or back in the space. |
| **Delete** | Deletes the chat. |

> [!WARNING]
>
> You can't undo deleting a chat. What Temperate learned from it stays in the memory. To remove that too, see [Make Temperate forget](https://docs.temperate.works/library/memory.md#make-temperate-forget).

## Chats deleted automatically

Your organization can delete quiet chats after a set time. You get a notice seven days before. Write in the chat to keep it. See [Organization settings](https://docs.temperate.works/admin/organization.md#delete-chats-after).
