# Questions and approvals

> When Temperate asks you before it acts.

Temperate can work in the systems you connected. It asks you first when it matters.

![An agent asks to create bank entries in Exact Online, with the journal, the number of entries, the total and the buttons Deny, Always allow and Allow](https://mintcdn.com/temperate/fiKOImnzsBaUE79z/images/approval.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=fiKOImnzsBaUE79z\&q=85\&s=8f5f68a2e1dbfc160b141c1194021099)

| What it wants to do | Example | In a chat | By an agent |
| - | - | - | - |
| Read | Look up an invoice | Goes ahead | Goes ahead |
| Change | Send an invoice | Goes ahead when you asked for it | Asks first |
| Change that can't be undone | Refund a payment | Asks first | Asks first |

## Answer a question

The card shows who wants to do what, in which system, and with which values.

| Button | What it means |
| - | - |
| **Allow** | Do it this one time. |
| **Deny** | Don't do it. The work continues without it. |
| **Always allow** | This agent no longer asks for this action. |

A question waits for 24 hours. After that, the work continues without the action.

## Always allow

You can only choose this for an agent, for an action that can be undone, and with the permission **Always allow an action of an agent**. To take it back, open the agent and select **Ask again** under **Without asking**. Changing the agent's instructions also ends it.

Questions show in the chat and in your [Inbox](https://docs.temperate.works/approvals/inbox.md).
